First of all, my apologies to all ladies who can read this. I am not trying to make some offense here, this is just what I think and it just happen that I was a guy. So this exercise is meant for big boys only. Ready?
Imagine something or someone you really love, apart from family and maybe the place you call home. Okay, now try to categorize these things or people into one of the two – cars or girls. They do fall into either one, don’t they?
If you are a car lover chances are you have used words like ardor, affection, devotion and, yes, love to describe your cars. And lets not kid ourselves; we have used such words to describe our feelings toward the fairer sex time and again as well. So don’t be ashamed of the fact. Admit it. We love our cars. We love our girls. And if there’s any logic at all in your heads, then you have figured it all out.
The only way to keep a relationship going is to love the right way. The only way to keep a girl by your side is to love her the right way. The only way to keep your car running in tiptop condition is to love it the right way as well.
So here’s what we are going to do next. I’m going to list down some pointers that will help you keep your car in tiptop condition – because I understand your plight. And because I care. Take this down, brothers…………..
First, never forget that the way to a woman’s heart is through her stomach. Feed her the right stuff and she’s hooked on you. A woman always appreciates a man with culinary style. It would do you well to keep this in mind when dealing with your car as well, because this also holds true for it.
Feed your car nothing but the best of what it needs to sustain itself and it will perform to the best of its abilities. That way, you’re both happy.
Next, be sensitive. Again, notice how women love it when you show your sensitive side every so often and you pamper them with stuff that they don’t really need (but would be happy to have). If a woman is tired and you give her a nice rubdown, you will get what’s coming to you, right? If your car looks worn-out and you give it a nice little rubbing, it will smile brightly, di ba? See what I’m getting at Dude?
Next, keep it clean. And you can read between the lines with this particular tip, but here’s my real point: if you keep things clean between you and your woman, it’s not likely you will get into any relationship-related brouhaha. It is so simple that it is so easy to forget. If you keep your car clean all the time, it is not likely it will ever get into a situation where it is disrespected in any manner. Another way of looking at this tip is: a presentable woman, just like a presentable car, is a man’s most fulfilling, self-serving eye candy. Now who would not want that?
Finally, keep the communication lines alive. Make sure that you do a good job of the most important aspect of it: listening well. If your woman says she’s not feeling fabulous, help her to a hot oil treatment or a facial cleansing perhaps. If you hear your car sputtering on the fly, give it change oil as soon as possible. Remember dude, you can never go wrong if you listen well. It just takes a little effort.
At the end of the day, what you have to realize is that you will never know how good what you have is until it’s gone. So don’t let that day come without trying your best. You don’t want to end up hurting.
Oh, yes, some things do hurt more than cars and girls. But not too many things. At least, with cars and girls, you are always empowered with the choice to love them the best way you know how. And if you make the right choice, at least you would not have to live with that strange bedfellow called – REGRET.
